Ampohm specialise in the innovative design, development and manufacture of high quality capacitors for use across various markets.
As a company we have the capabilities to manufacture metallised polypropylene, aluminium metallised, polyester and polycarbonate dielectrics, paper and foil impregnated capacitors (for the automotive, audio and industrial markets) and utilise metallised film technology (thus facilitating weight and volume reduction over standard film or foil construction).
Furthermore, we have the skills to manufacture motor run capacitors (designed for permanent connection in the auxillary windings of a single phase induction motor), precision, snubber and filter pulse high frequency capacitors and axial, radial and general purpose close tolerance capacitors which have a range from 0.1µF to 1.0µF (larger if required).
Standard applications are made to 440V AC and 1,000V DC but higher voltage can be achieved should the need arise.
Standard options include:
- Motor run capacitors to BS EN 60252, 0.5 to 75µF 440V AC @ 50Hz. A choice of 5 standard terminations. Available with plain base or mounting stud
- Lighting capacitors to BS EN 61048/9, 2 to 100µF 250 and 440 VAC @ 50Hz. A choice of 4 standard terminations
- Impregnated paper dielectric capacitors for valve amplifiers and vintage audio
